Course 251º distance 270 km from Paramaribo.
Kabalebo is an amer-indian name which means : Arch in the River.
Misty mountain (500) meter is one of the chains of mountain which are situated in the Bakhuys Mountain.
The Wilhelmina mountain is the highest with its 1230 meters.
The plan in 1984 was to build the waterdam here on this location by Suralco (a mining company) and the local government.
Kabalebo came about around the 60's during operation grasshopper.
In 2000 Karel Dawson started as a pilot project the Kabalebo Lodge.
Kabalebo is situated in the estuary of the Lucy River.
Right on the upper course rises the south of the Wilhelmina mountain.
